Smith & Wesson's Model 1913 was an early pocket automatic, and this one, serial 1364, is chambered for the .35 S&W cartridge with a 3.5-inch barrel. It dates to the early 1900s. The blue finish is about 95 percent intact with some rust pitting on the right side, the grips are good with marks and wear but no cracks or chips, and the bore is excellent. Overall it rates good.
A four-digit serial and an uncommon cartridge make this a collector's pistol for North Carolina buyers who follow early Smith & Wesson autoloaders, rather than a working carry gun. The excellent bore is a plus if you can source ammunition. It transfers like any modern handgun in the state: photo ID, Form 4473 and NICS check at a licensed dealer, or your valid North Carolina concealed handgun permit presented instead, with no state permit, waiting period or registry.
