This Colt Trooper MK III dates from 1973 and is chambered in .357 Magnum with a 6-inch barrel. It is a double-action revolver in blue finish with walnut grips; the bore is very good, the seller calls it beautiful, and the overall condition is rated very good. Serial number 26994J. Double action means it can be fired by a long pull of the trigger or by cocking the hammer first for a shorter, lighter one.
The 6-inch barrel puts this one in range-gun territory for a North Carolina owner: a longer sight radius for deliberate shooting and extra weight out front against .357 recoil. Handguns are legal in the state's deer gun season too, which runs from October 17, 2026 in the eastern zones and from mid-to-late November elsewhere until January 1, 2027, and a long-barreled .357 revolver is a traditional choice where handguns are used. Collectors of 1970s Colts will note the blue and walnut are as listed.
