This Browning BDA in .45 ACP was made in West Germany by Sig Sauer in 1978, an early and scarce example of the pistol that was sold under the Browning name and is in effect an early form of the P220. It wears a 4.4-inch barrel and the bore is rated excellent. The frame carries German proof marks including an eagle over N, the slide is marked HJ, and the serial number, 395RP6240, is a Browning one. The seller grades it very good plus overall.
For a North Carolina collector this is a documented piece of the Sig Sauer and Browning story in a service caliber. The .45 ACP chambering means it remains a practical range pistol as well as a collector's item, and the excellent bore suggests it has plenty of use left in it. Private sales between residents need no state permit in North Carolina and the state keeps no registry, but a dealer transfer is how this one arrives from us.
