A camouflaged autoloader with a 28-inch barrel is a working gun for North Carolina marshes and timber, and shotguns are legal for deer through the state's gun season, which opens October 17 in the Northeastern and Southeastern zones and ends January 1 statewide. The removable choke lets you tighten or open the pattern for the job at hand. Hunter orange is required and the season limit is six deer, two of them antlered.
