A 20-gauge autoloader with a Kick-Off stock is a comfortable gun for a long day in the field, and shotguns are legal across every North Carolina deer zone during gun season, from the October 17 opener on the coast to the November 28 start in the Western zone. Hunter orange is required, the limit is six deer with two antlered, and the county listing has the exact dates for your ground.
