This Beretta A400 Xplor is a used semi-automatic field shotgun in 28 gauge, serial XA138988, from current production rather than an older run. It wears a 28-inch barrel with a ventilated rib and a removable choke, and the bore is described as bright. The receiver carries Beretta's bronze color, the stock and forend are walnut, and length of pull measures 14.5 inches. The supplier grades the finish, the wood and the gun as a whole as excellent.

North Carolina counts a shotgun among the legal arms for the whole gun deer season, which opens October 17, 2026 in the Northeastern and Southeastern zones and later in the Central, Northwestern and Western zones, with hunter orange required in the field. A light 28 gauge with a swappable choke is more at home on upland birds and clay targets, though, and that is where most owners will carry this one. Check the Wildlife Resources Commission listing for your county before you head out.
