A Rock Island Arsenal M1905 bayonet with the full 16-inch blade, dated 1912 and carrying serial number 229249. The grips are the original wood. No scabbard comes with it. The bayonet is sold used under stock number 12317775 in our bayonets group, and the condition beyond those facts is best judged from the photographs.

A Rock Island example with a readable date and serial number is what collectors want for a period-correct display of early United States martial arms. Because this one has no scabbard, it suits a buyer who already has a scabbard on hand or who plans to display the blade bare on a rifle of its era. North Carolina collectors can add it to a Springfield-period group or shelve it beside other arsenal-marked pieces, and the long 16-inch blade makes it stand out on a wall.
