The Savage Axis II Left Hand Hunter is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .223 Remington with a 22-inch barrel, built with the bolt on the left side for left-handed shooters. The stock is black synthetic and the metal carries a matte black finish, a plain hunting setup with nothing extra. It is listed new under UPC 011356575142, SKU NGZ4831, and the photo on this page is a stock image supplied by the distributor.

North Carolina allows rifles in the gun deer season, which in 2026 opens October 17 in the Northeastern and Southeastern zones, November 14 in the Central zone and the Northwestern CWD area, November 21 across the rest of the Northwestern zone and November 28 in the Western zone, running to January 1 everywhere. Wear hunter orange and check your county's listing. A .223 bolt gun is a light-recoiling rifle that suits practice and smaller game, and the left-hand bolt means no reaching over the action to cycle it.
