Remington built this Nylon 66 in 1969, and it is the Mohawk Brown version of the semi-automatic .22 Long Rifle. The barrel measures 19.5 inches and the bore is very good. A Weaver scope is already mounted. The previous owner stamped his name into the stock, and both the metal and the stock carry handling marks, but the overall condition is very good. Serial number 2146857.

The Nylon 66 is a light, quick-handling autoloader, and with the Weaver scope in place it is set up for small targets at modest range. North Carolina shooters who want an easy rifle for the back pasture or a weekend at the range will find it a pleasant piece, and the name stamp on the stock is part of its history rather than a fault. Collectors of Remington rimfires also seek out the Mohawk Brown variant.
