North Carolina deer country runs from the Blue Ridge and the Piedmont farm edges to the coastal plain pines and swamps near the Sounds. Stands are often deep in the woods, and a light rifle makes the walk in before daylight a lot easier on a young hunter.

Fierce Firearms builds the Mini Rogue line for youth, women and smaller-framed hunters, so the whole family can hunt with a rifle sized for them. Each one has a carbon fiber stock, a shorter length of pull and an adjustable comb or push-button cheek piece. Calibers start at 22 Creedmoor and go up to 7mm-08 Remington and 308 Winchester. TriggerTech or Bix'n Andy triggers and QD flush cups for a sling are standard.

25 Creedmoor sits between the 6mm and 6.5 Creedmoor: a flat trajectory and enough bullet weight for deer-sized game, with recoil that stays easy on a light rifle.

In XP form the Mini Rogue gets a carbon fiber match-grade barrel and a TriggerTech Primary ProCurve trigger; QD flush cups and two 1/4-inch stock spacers come with it.

This rifle has a 20 in barrel, 3+1 capacity, and weighs about 6.2 lb. Finish: Black DLC / Forest Camo.

Young hunters in a ladder stand need a rifle they can swing without bumping the rail or lifting the head, and a shorter length of pull does that. Once it fits, adjust the comb until the scope picture is round and clear. Many families start with a 25 Creedmoor for deer and step up when the shooter wants more.

North Carolina repealed the pistol purchase permit in March 2023 and sets no waiting period. Choose the North Carolina dealer you want at checkout, and the rifle ships there for the check at pickup.
