CZ Bren 2 Ms Pistol

You’re probably looking at this because you want a pistol that can do more than just sit in a drawer. Maybe you’re thinking about a short-barreled rifle build, or maybe you want a pistol that handles like something you’re already familiar with. The CZ Bren 2 Ms is built to be adaptable.

This isn’t the original Bren. The Bren 2 is a completely new design, and a noticeable amount of work went into reducing weight. The receiver is aluminum, and the lower is carbon fiber-reinforced polymer. It’s still built solid, but it’s lighter in your hands than you might expect.

A big change from the original is the charging handle. It doesn’t move with the bolt anymore—it stays put where you need it. It’s also swappable to either side, and works as a forward assist. They’ve also added an AR-style bolt catch and release – mirrored on both sides, and another catch right in the trigger guard. If you run ARs, a lot of this will feel familiar. The safety and magazine release are also ambidextrous and in typical AR locations.

Available Configurations

We carry several Bren 2 Ms configurations:

• 5.56x45mm NATO: Available with 8.26”, 11”, and 14” barrels. Uses standard AR-15/M16 magazines.
• 7.62x39mm: Available with 9”, 11”, and 14” barrels. Uses factory Bren 2 magazines for reliable last-round bolt hold-open.

All versions let you swap out the barrel and even the chambering later on, and the forend is modular too. If you’re planning a build, this is a good starting point.

Building it Out

The Bren 2 Ms comes with a rear plate designed to accept an AR-style buffer tube, so you can add an arm brace or cheek rest. If you want to go the SBR route, you can install a carbine buffer tube and stock, or replace the entire rear plate with a factory folding/adjustable stock.
